Create Your Perfect Look

My necklace designs include many different styles and lengths.  How do you know what style looks best on you?  You can choose the style and length that accentuates your face shape and enhances the neckline of your outfit.

Round Face

With a circular shape and fuller cheeks, a round face looks best with jewelry that creates a slimming effect.  Wear longer necklaces to create the illusion of facial length.  A focal point that draws the eye down is also slimming.  Pieces with angular beads create a more subtle balance, but are still effective.  For earrings, look for square or rectangular shapes and long dangles that will draw attention downward.

Square Face

With clearly defined angles, a square face looks best with jewelry that adds curves.  A strong, wide chin looks balanced when a necklace’s focal point draws the eye downward.  However, when the face shape is more rectangular that square (more long than wide), keep the focus close to the face.  Curvy earrings will work to soften the angles as well.

Heart Face

Wider at the forehead and narrower at the chin, a heart-shaped face is well served by jewelry that gives the illusion of width to the jawline.  Necklaces with strong horizontal lines or chunky beads balance the width of the forehead.  Likewise, earrings that move the eye from side to side, especially at chin level, are very flattering.

Oval Face

With well-proportioned features -- high cheekbones and a balanced forehead and chin -- an oval face is often considered the ideal face shape for design purposes.  Since any type of necklace and earrings will work, take advantage of the freedom to experiment.  Play with unexpected combinations of shapes and textures.
