Eyeglass Chains

Bead eyeglass chains / necklaces are pretty, practical jewelry that you can wear everyday. The eyeglass chains are useful for both reading glasses and sunglasses. They make a thoughtful gift for the person you know that is always looking for their glasses or to treat yourself.

Our bead eyeglass chains are handcrafted in both the traditional style where rubber or elastic retainers slide onto the temples of the glasses and the necklace / lanyard style with a silver metal ring to slip one side of the glasses into the ring. This style with the metal ring can also be used to keep sewing tools (like a thread cutter) close at hand also.

Czech glass beads, crystals, delica seed beads, acrylic beads and other bead materials are used to make the beaded eyeglass chains. The beads are strung on multi-strand beading wire cable for strength and to resist kinking. I use sterling silver tube crimps for extra strength when attaching the retainers or metal ring.
